Kafrin' lé zoli

« KAFRIN’ LÉ ZOLI » is a work that questions the issue of colorism by celebrating black women with dark skin by highlighting their beauty through an aesthetic close to fashion magazines with drippings of black color. It reminds us that neither the beauty nor the worth of an individual should be determined by the color of their skin.

KAFRIN’ LÉ ZOLI

The title « KAFRIN’ LÉ ZOLI » is a reference to the work of Reunionese artist Wilhiam Zitte (1954-2018) who for many years created artworks questioning the identity and representation of black people with his concept of ARTCREOLOGY, author of the expression « KAF LÉ ZOLI ».
